DEFINITIONS:

INFO WE COLLECT:

The Personal Data we collect through various parts of the Site and through email correspondence includes:

  • Personal details or situations made in confidence via email, in group conversation via Zoom or live workshops or classes, through forms and digital means when filling forms or questionnaires, and person to person.

In addition, if you send us a comment, review, or question through the Site or via email, we may collect and store the contents of your feedback as well.

We will never sell your Personal Data to third parties, and share it only as set forth in this Policy.

EMBEDDED CONTENT:

Articles on this Site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content is served from other websites (for example, Youtube) and is subject to the terms and privacy policy applicable to the source of the embedded content, whether displayed on the Site as an iFrame, link, or otherwise. We are not responsible for the collection and use of your Personal Data on or by third parties, some of whom may use tracking technology that works across many other websites. If you have any doubts as to whether you consent to the data handling practices of such other sites, please do not click, interact with, or otherwise access embedded content.

GOOGLE ANALYTICS TRACKING:

Our website may use Google Analytics tracking to measure traffic data via the Squarespace plugin. This plugin is set to anonymize use IP data and respect “Do Not Track” browser features so that no personal data is stored.

NEWSLETTER:

You will be added to our email list with your explicit consent (for example, via checkbox on signup form, or double email opt-in) or automatically when you make a purchase through our Site.

Our newsletters and other announcements are sent through a third party email service, which may use web beacons to track your interactions with our email – for example, whether an email is opened or clicked. We have access to this tracking information.

DO NOT TRACK:

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser other than in connection with the Google Analytics service.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please email us.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States, and will be stored on servers located in the United States.

HOW WE STORE YOUR DATA:

We retain records of your purchases with us indefinitely for business bookkeeping purposes.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States and process it there.

We will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

 

WITH WHOM WE SHARE YOUR DATA:

We do not share your Personal Data except as explicitly described in this Privacy Policy.

Cookies and visitor data are among our routine site backup systems and are operated by Squarespace.

Your Personal Data is shared as follows in connection with the remainder of our Site:

We may share, or allow access to, your Personal Data by Squarespace (our online store / shopping cart software) to analyze purchase behavior and fulfill orders, Stripe (our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor) to process payments, and UPS/FedEx/USPS (shipping) to fulfill shipped orders placed through our Site.

We may disclose Personal Data that we collect, or you provide:

(a)  Disclosure for Law Enforcement. Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities. We will not share your Personal Information with law enforcement absent a warrant or comparable court order specifically requesting an individual’s personal information.

(b)  Business Transactions. If we or our subsidiaries are involved in an asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred.

(c)  Other cases. We may disclose your information also:

(i)   To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business;

(ii)  To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it;

(iii)  For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information;

YOUR RIGHTS WITH RESPECT TO STORED PERSONAL DATA:

If you have submitted Personal Data to us, you can request that we erase any Personal Data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Please note that we are unable to remove your Personal Data from the systems or servers of third parties such as Stripe.  Please contact such third parties directly to request the modification or removal of your information from their systems.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA:

Your personal information is contained behind secured Squarespace networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

Stripe implements a variety of security measures when a user who places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information, to maintain the safety of your personal information on our Site. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers. 

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Such changes apply to the ongoing use of your Personal Data upon notice to you via email or other means that a Privacy Policy update has been implemented.

HOW TO OPT-OUT

You can always unsubscribe from our email newsletters through the link provided in the email itself. In addition, should you have questions about how use collect, use, store, modify, or delete the Personal Data we have collected about you, please contact us.  We will endeavor to respond to your email inquiries within a reasonable time.
