Topics of Study ⁎

The Phases of Doulaship

Dive deep into the philosophy and the three critical roles you can embody as a doula: Legacy, 11th Hour, and Post-Mortem.

Ceremony Crafting

Master the art of crafting meaningful ceremonies, from the cultural to the personal, and learn the importance of legacy keeping and storytelling.

Join Death Educator and Ceremonialist Erin Merelli on February 2 in Deerfield Beach, FL, for a unique opportunity to explore both the practical skills and the deeper philosophies of death doulaship.

In this small group workshop, you will gain unforgettable knowledge in a supportive space designed for inquiry, reflection, and healing. A death doula's role is to guide the dying and their loved ones through the final journey, fostering an atmosphere of love, presence, and acceptance rather than fear.

Learn the 3 phases and many roles of death doulaship, how to navigate the funeral industry, and the art of crafting meaningful ceremonies that give grief a place to live.

Before the workshop, you’ll receive pre-session recordings to prepare you for the content. During the workshop, learning will unfold through a combination of lectures, discussions, and case studies.

At the conclusion of the workshop, you’ll have the option to take an exam, and upon passing, you will receive a Death Doula Training Certificate of Completion.

You’ll be surrounded by a rare community of like-minded individuals who, like you, feel called to this work. The comfortable classroom environment will include a catered lunch to nourish us mid-day, and drinks and snacks will be available all day.

This workshop will deepen your understanding of death and prepare you with the core skills to offer practical, compassionate, and informed care to those at the end of life.
